It's a great thing. It's great like alcohol and tobacco. It's real addictive. You think you won't get hooked. You think you can resist. It'll pull you in. Before you know it you need the internet to get through the day!

Maybe ten, twenty years from now the surgeon general will have some kind of warning flashing across the screen. In the mean time the big wigs at the top, who collect all the money we pee-on's put into this internet, will get us all hooked. They will ensure thier future wealth!

Yah, the internet is pretty good.

Tom

Speaking of addicting; Every day I come home from work and boot the machine ( yes, I turn it off ) go straight to the net, which is no big deal because I have a cable modem which is awesome!
I check the e-mail - incredibly usefull tool- check f150 online, then read the local paper, do a little buisness, check out the major late breaking news stories, on and on.... Oh yeah, I have a cool little tv capture card that lets me watch tv in a smaller window on my desk top. 45 bucks, well worth it.

Yeah...same here, very "productive" tools these here computers . I even tried to install a small refridgerator next to my computer desk for convenience. Load up some beer and figured I'd be all set for the night. The "wife" didn't quite see it from my point of view.

And I work with computers all day long...go figure. Does Betty Ford have a clinic for this kind of problem?

No but you'll have a problem when you want to put the computer in the fridge for fear of your over-clocked CPU from toasting

Yea the internet is a wonderful place, even if I do run on 56k modem. As a matter a fact I was just getting yelled at by my girlfriend for paying to much attention to the computer and not enough to her. Do what, what did you say Honey, I was reading about blah, blah, blah.
