2002 seats

Have only had the truck for about a week, and really like it except for one thing. These have to be the most uncomfortable seats (cloth buckets) I have ever sat in (even moreso than my wife's 98 Mustang....heck, even the bench in my 93 F150 seemed comfortable by comparison). Hard as a rock, and tough to find a comfortable back position (feel it in the lower back). Didn't really bother me on test drives, but noticing it after somewhat longer drives. Admittedly, it may take a while to "convert" my anatomy from the 98 Ranger buckets.......at least I hope that's all it is. I have searched and seen prior posts here about the seats (gen I/II/III), but nothing yet on those in the 2002 (gen??). Wonder if I can soften the seat/springs a bit with a few hundred pounds of dumbells while I'm not occupying it (wife doesn't like the idea, can't imagine why :-)

Cheers to all
ernie

It took forever for me to get used to the seats. On long drives my lower back still aches.

The extremely worn bench seat in my '89 Chev 1500 was the most comfortable seat I've ever sat in. I could drive for hours in the truck and not feel tired or sore.

I also loved the seats in the 87 to 96 F-series. Damn comfortable too!

I think if you asked my wife, she'd say there's a couple of hundred pounds of dumbbells in my driver seat every day!!!
