Differences between Haynes and Chilton

I was just looking through the Haynes (97-98 F150) and Chilton (97-00 F150) repair manuals and saw something that kind of puzzled me.
In the Haynes it states one way to relieve fuel system pressure is to disconnect the safety inertia switch and start the engine.
Now in the Chilton manual the same instructions are made but with the note that this will not work on the 97 F150, 250, Expedition, and Navigator.

Why? Looks like if it didn't work on the 97's Haynes would have mentioned this. The Haynes manual is an older model manual (about a year old) but still it should be listed. I thought having two manuals would help me out, seems all it does is confuse me more with conflicting info.

Also, if I understand it right in the Chilton's manual on a hub replacement on a 4wd. That the cv shaft need to be pulled out of the spindle and reinserted after the new hub bearing has been bolted into the spindle. The Haynes manual makes no mention of this and I did not have to do a thing with the cv shaft when I replaced my hub bearings.

All I know is that it's kind of strange and the Haynes manual keeps it much more clear and well laid out.
