It has a long way to go before it looks like an "L". First, lose the XL trim mirrors... an instant giveaway. Then add ground effects, new rims and tires, new headlights, taillights, corners...

Lots of money.

Yea its a good starting truck but you would have to convert the entire front end to have a 99 Bumper and grille cause that one has the 98 and lower and the grille is straight across on the bottom and doesnt dip down like the 99's do. But i mean you throw the wheels on it and a bumper and most people wont know the difference. Everyone thinks mine is a lightning and its not even a stepside.

of course GASGUZZLER007, it doesnt have to be a Lightning look alike. Throw on some aftermarket foglights, bigger tires ('cause the stock aluminums look just fine) tint the windows and you have a really sweet looking truck.

To me, a Lightning isnt about the ground effects, its all about the engine. These F-150's look sweet in just about any configuration (still undecided about supercab, long box in 2WD with a bad cap).

Thanks for the reply guys. Yeah it will cost me some money. I would love to of bought a Lightning but the insurance is a killer. When I had my blown Mustang GT before this, I was paying $2700 a year. Iam 24 and have a clean record. I could only imagine what it will be on a Lightning. I found the front bumper cover of the lightning from www.fordreplacementparts.com for $254. I will try to mount that onto my stock bumper. Then the ground effects are close to $580 from www.karkraft.com. I wil also need the rims but I will try to get some on Ebay. i have seen some sell for close to $500. The altezza lights are close to $250. Thats probably as far as I want to go.

J150-Thanks for mentioning the mirrors,I didnt even think about that. LOL

F1504u2nv-Do you have pictures of your truck up anywhere? I would like to se what it looks like. If you can please post them here or email me amrant@yahoo.com. Thanks. Also, if you dont mind, how much did you pay for the Lightning bumper cover, dual exhaust, and the tips. I think I saw the tips for like 70. That seems a little to high. Thanks.
