It seems I have failed....

I found out last night that my parents just bought a brand new GMC Yukon. They almost went for the Denali but decided it was too much money. I asked them if they tried an expy and they said there was no comparison between the two. I guess they really liked the Yukon better. I'll see it tomorrow night so I can form my own opinion. And I was doing so good keeping everyone with Ford.

Mom - 90 Bonneville (I was too young to have an influence )
Dad - 94 Ranger
Sister - 00 Windstar
Brother in law - (old truck) 97 F150 SC 4X4
Brother in law - (new truck) 01 F350 PS RC 4X4
Me - (old truck) 96 Ranger
Me - 98 F150

Better luck next time I guess
Justin

sorry about the family problems. i went from a family who owned all volkswagen, toyota (lexus really i guess) and well pretty much all foreign cars except for the '31 model "A" sitting in the parents garage to a family who after i brought my '02 King Ranch home all literally went out and ordered themselves new fords.

Better luck next time. I know how you feel one of my brothers went from a 91 Mustang little 4 banger to a 99 Pontiac Grand Am he used his warenty several times on it and well my sister she only had one Ford out of the 5 cars she had 3 of them were GM makes but the one she has now is some jap crap car I give her a real hard time about that one I can tolerate a GM make or even a Crysler make as they are American made or have an American name to them but jap crap I can not tolerate at all.

Don't fret - they WILL regret!

Give them time BlueOx & hopefully they will decide that this Yukon is not what they'd thought it was. I will give them this though - at least they bought a vehicle that KNOWS what it is & doesn't "switch" from SUV to pickup! Yeah - thats a real sturdy truck there - pull out the back & presto - it's a truck??????????
Anyhow, it's not your fault & if it really bothers you, tell them you'll tell everyone you were adopted so that you can't be held accountable!

I must be adopted

I drive the only ford in my entire family (we are talking everyone here: grandparents, aunts, uncles, sisters, cousins,my parents,etc...)

They all drive Dodges and Chryslers with the exception of a Lexus that my cousin drives. They just don't understand that fords are the best.

The other day I had to borrow( my friend had borrowed my truck) my dads 99 Dodge 4x4 with the small v-8 (5.2L?)in it.I swear my six shooter 4x4 F150 is quicker than that thing.I realized just how much I really like my truck. And to think I actually looked at The Dodge trucks before I bought my Ford.Good thing I came to my senses........

I grew up in a ford family which was nice, but it has slacked a little. My dad sold his tow Bus. which was a fleet of f-super duty tow trucks.
Pops has an 89 ranger.
Moms got a 01 accord(personal car)
01 Taurus(company car) she managed to throw the crank through the oil pan somehow.
Pops hot rod is a 52 dodge coronet.
Mine 97 f150 offroad sc.
My hot rod 64 ford falcon sprint
the wife 01 Kia Sephia(I hate this slow piece of crap!)
Wifes next car will probably be a new Focus.

Well I saw the new Yukon last night. They even let me drive it. Overall I think it is a nice vehicle. In my opinion, it drove too much like a car for my tastes, but hey, I guess my almost 50 year old mother will be driving it most, so she will be more comfortable with it. It was pretty comfortable seating. I wasn't too impressed with the interior but I wasn't disappointed either. I floored it a couple of times. It had decent get up and go but again, I wasn't impressed. For a V8 it should have at least sounded a little meaner doing it. I personally haven't driven an expy so I can't compare. If an expy drives like an F150, then I would choose the expy. Just too much like a car for me.

Blue Ox You said it drives to much like a car you got to remember that a SUV is the modern day family car that is why they feel so much like a car when you are in one.
