Digital Cameras ????
I am in the market for a new digital camera, I was wondering what you guys/gals have for camera's what you like about them and what you don't like about them.
Right now I am leaning towards the Olympus C-4040 but I am open to other options. I am looking for atleast 3 mega pixes, and want as much optical zoom as possible.l
here is a link to a review on the camera

Don,
I have the C-2020Z, a 2.1 megapixel predecessor that model. I absolutely love the quality of images that it produces. On our vacation this summer, I used it exclusively and was able to have great 8x10's printed at Shutterfly from the highest res images. SmartMedia cards are now dirt-cheap, too.
The drawback to it is its awkward shape. This is not a camera that you can carry around in your pocket, if that is important to you. And at 6'5", 250lbs, my pockets are pretty big.
Here is another resource for camera reviews, you may already be familiar with it ... http://www.dpreview.com/
I am holding out for the price of the Olympus C-40Z to drop after the holidays and finances permitting replace mine.
Hope that helped!

Try the Olympus C3040Z. Olympus' picture quality seems to get rave reviews where ever you look. The C3040 is a 3 Megapixel like you want. I think the C3000Z has 6 or 10X optical zoom (not real sure). I think you can get the 3040 for about $550 through cnet.com. I was going to buy it for my wife but the funds ran short. Later,
I ordered a C4040 three weeks ago for $539 online... I won't name the site here... they suck for customer service and they lied about it being in stock... but $360 below retail... what can you do....... If you want to know where, email me....
I was told it was in stock and I would get it in 2 weeks... sister was told the same... she got her's a 2 weeks ago... mine still not shipped... I was two days behind her.. to them in stock means in the warehouse in Europe. It is graymarket which means it has no US warranty.. but a good price for a 4 MegaPixel camera.. the best part is the F1.8 lens aperture... good low light photos......

Thanks guys
Right now I have a Olympus D450 1.3 mega pixel camera, I have been happy with it but it is time to upgrade.
Ya I know it is big, and I have read all the reviews, one thing I like about the C-4040 is the new menu's and simplified controls over the older models. Olympus digital camera's have allways been known for there low light imaging, thats one reason I ruled out the Sony.
If I do get it I will post a pic and let you see how it works
Thanks all
