Exclamation Rear window seal problems...........

Hey everyone, this is my first time posting on here. I have a question for all F150 owners out there. First the scenario.... I own a 2001 F150 and I just brought into the dealer because of my rear window seal. I noticed the black rubber gasket was popping out around the rear window in a few places and asked them to check it out. Well now it is being replaced, the reason bad seal. I noticed the same problem on a few other friends F150's. My question is has anyone else out there had the same problem? It would be interesting to see how many people might have the same problem, but hasn't noticed it yet.

You're not alone!

I have heard of many problems with the rear sliders too - it looks like I may have had 1 before I bought the truck as there's the slightest stain on the headliner above the window. Since I've owned it though I have checked & not been able to find any evidence of leaks.
Do a search here to see what you can find & what the guys did to get it fixed. I know you're not the only 1 so don't feel too bad. I would have thought that by now though, Ford could/would have found a better seal for these windows! Good luck & keep us posted.
Also, welcome to the site! It's nice to have you join!

Yep, I just had the seal around my solid back glass replaced a few weeks ago. And now the seal around the outside black plastic is coming out! Must be all that torque...
