My truck has 215,600 miles. I bought it going on three years ago. At the time I bought it, it had 164,000 miles. It has only had a few problems. Soon after I bought it I found, the bearings in the alternator were bad, and the slides on the RF caliper were frozen. At 175,000 miles the pinion seal started to leak. At 200,000 the diff started making noise. It turned out the carrier bearings were bad ($50 in parts). On cold days there is some piston slap at start up (even though Romeo engines aren't supposed to slap). It goes away in in a minute or two. I go roughly 5000 miles between oil changes (Valvoline 5-30 Durablend). It will use 2-3 quarts between oil changes (no leaks). It will blow a little puff of smoke if it idles for a minute when I take off (Valve guide seals).

Cool

My '95 F250 passed 200,000 miles in 5 years with the following
replaced items;
1. One (1) Brake job
2. One master cylinder
3. One set of spark plug wires
4. Two spark plug changes
5. Reattached the stock muffler $10.00
6. Three sets of shocks

With the 351 and 3.73 gears it sucked gas at 80MPH
I always used Mobil 1 from the first oil change. It NEVER
burned or leaked oil !!

My friends son is now the proud owner.

2001 SuperCrew has 43,000 miles in 11 months. One repair
O2 sensor.
Added; Edelbrock IAS skocks, Michelin LTX MS tires, Helwig rear
Anti-Sway bar and, of course, Mobil 1

156K on my 1999 truck

Hi guys, I have a 1999 F150 XLT supercab, 4.6 triton v8, automatic, 3.55 regualar axle. I drive this bad boy EVERY DAY over 225+ miles, it has racked up 256,532 in 3 years (37 months) (thats over 6000 miles a month)

How I got there and whats been done:

Oil changed religiously every 3 weeks (approx. every 5000 miles)

87 octane gas (filling up every-other day, 14 tanks a month)
(the only thing I dont like is when the gas bill comes every month, and mine alone is $500, not to mention my dads f150 4x4 orp, my mom's excursion, and my sisters expedition...over $2k a month just for gas!!!!)

Spark Plugs changed at 90,000 miles and at 200,000 miles

Transmission service kept up. ALL preventive stuff has been kept up to date.

Tires replaced at 80,000 miles, 155,000 and at 237,000 miles, tires rotated every 6,000 miles (every single month for me!)

Triton makes a great motor, I haul hay in the bed of my truck every day and that 4.6 hauls it like nothing!! I drive like most 18 year olds do, and I average only 15 miles to the gallon, but its worth it all. This has been a great truck, and it still purs like a kitten! I belive I will easlily get it to 300,000 with no problems
I`ll be at 300k in about 7 months.

Can anyone beat 256K on a 99 F150? (mine)
Can anyone beat 189K on a 00 F150? (Dad's)
Can anyone beat 102K on a 01 Excursion? (Mom's)
Can anyone beat 183K on a 99 Expedition? (Sister's)

We live in Falls City, TX and each of us have to drive over 70 miles to get into San Antonio every day, so 70 one way equals 140 round trip, plus any driving we do once we are in town, plus we have a ranch down close to Corpus Christi that we all drive to from time to time.

See yall around!

Thats alot of miles Wes....and I thought I was bad.

Yes its a Chevy and yes its old but I've got 165,000 miles on my 93 K1500 Silverado Z-71, ext. cab, 4x4 with the 350 auto. A family friend owned it before me.

So far all it has needed is:

One brake job front and rear
On its 4th set of tires
2 batteries
1 alternator
water pump
fan clutch
pitman arm
ball joints (just done)
1 pair of sway bar end links
muffler/tailpipe once

Other than that it has just been normal tune ups and fluid changes. Mobil 1 10w-30 and AC Delco filter every 3000 miles. Only uses 1/4 of a quart every 3000. Runs just as strong as it did brand new.

Cool

So far, I have close to 188,000 kms (117,312 miles) on my truck. Purchased used in April of '99 (94,000 kms / 58,656 miles) and changed all fluids at 100,000 kms and did two tunes up so far as well. One at 100,000 kms and the other just this fall before my emission test. I have replaced one lower ball joint with another ball joint job coming up this early spring along with headers that will fix my current manifold leak and a new oil pan gasket. Oh and the damn block heater as well when it blew out one day.
Average kms/year is about 35,250 kms (21,996 miles). She also runs 17.469 at 78.12 mph down the track too. I am hoping to get at least 300,000 kms on this one as well since I sold my '87 300-I6, 4 sp. with 305,000 kms on it.

CanadianSCrew is those kms. or miles ????????????

Have Fun & Keep on Truckin'

Bought truck with 86,638 in March of 00 with new tires and tune-up, now at around 132,000 miles on a 97 4.6L.
1. Battery at 87000, 1 week after I bought it
2. Plugs and wires at 98000, due to dealer who had power washed engine then didn't start to let it dry out
3. Tires at 124,545
4. Shocks, front pads, rotors, front diff grease, and hub bearings at 128,000(only the fornt driver side bearing was really bad, went ahead and did it all as not have to deal with it later)
5. New wires again at 131,000 due to crappy aftermarket wires installed earlier, also changed out to Accel coils backs

Oil changed at 3000-4000 miles, tires rotated every 5000-6000 miles. I really need to get all the fluids changed out.
