My personal opinion is 5 inches is WAY to big for exhaust coming out the back, much less the side! Personally, I wouldn't go larger than 3".

Question Too ricey

IMHO I would leave them where they are. Looks great to me and better visiblility when backing up in -30 weather. And 5" look more like a stove pipe than an exhaust pipe.

Can't really tell from the close up, but it does look a bit overstated. If it looks like 500 horse it should have 500 horse. Just my 10 pennorth as we say.

Exclamation Too frickin' big!

I think STX/98 is right. They are too
frickin' big to even be comin out the
back. Three inches is plenty wide
enough. Let us know what you do and
post the pics if you keep those big
rascals on.

I had the same opinion about the larger tips. I recently had 4" tips added to my truck, and they really look great. The 3" seemed a little "wimpy" (no offence to anyone) with the sound, and it didn't quite fill up the back side of the truck. The 4" really looks good, and it increased the exhaust tone noticeably!

I like mine I do have plans to get a painted bumper and make cutouts in it for the tips. I can see too much of the exhaust pipes under the rear of the truck. It looks kind of cheesy right now ,,,,,98
