Quit smoking 15 years ago, quite dippin' 10 years ago... harder to quit dippin'... more nicotine... more oral.

I quit when I went on vacation... bought lots of candy... worked well.

Smoked butts for more than 30 of my 45 years. Nov. 18th I celebrate 2 years without one after a scare to the ER. It's amazing what a scare can do for someone. Made a decision then and there to quit. Yeah, I still get urges but they go away in milliseconds. I still hang out with the smokers at work and at the local bar. Bride smokes too and she had quit for a couple years and restarted. I don't preach though. Good luck, ennis

Got me too, err....23yrs ago...(OMG...am I really that old). Copenhagen got me when I was playing baseball and still has a grip on me.

I'm so bad, I don't spit it...I "gut" it (learned that in the Army as a Private in Basic Training). I quit once, for 6 months...then I built a 800' privacy fence around my back yard. I needed something and hit the convenience store...hooked again.

Nobody knows I dip...meetings, church, ball games. Now all you guys know. It took my (now) wife 2 months before she found out. This was while we were dating. Guess it must be love.

Thing is, I'm a very clean dipper. No tobacco in teeth, brush after each dip (or some strong-arsed Ice gum).

Oh well, my dentist is happy, I keep him hopping.

Two packs of Camels everyday for 4 years now. I want to quit, and I have cut back from three and a half a day.

I started rubbing snuff (dipping, chewin, whatever) when I was 12 or 13 I'm 24 now.... Usually Kodaik, cope, or rooster(bigger can - cheaper).... I quit once for a year then started up again when I was working as a canoe/fishing guide. I am on my second time quitting now... Chewed the nicorette crap for like 5 or 6 months and just kicked that... man, snuff is some addictive stuff...

I smoked at least a pack of Newports or Kools a day sometimes two for a long time. When my wife got pregnant the first and quit I didn't, as soon as she could she started again. Second time she quit so did I and told her if she started again I would, that was March 3rd 1988. I'm glad she didn't start again.....I hate smokin now

I quit 18 months ago on my 50th birthday, I had been a smoker for 36 years. I smoked Luckys and rolled Drum. I liked cigars and the occasional pipe. I have spent every waking moment for those 18 months gagging for a smoke. I swear that if I reach 65, I'll start again.
