what is the deal with mercedes front clips on ford trucks lately?? i saw in truckin' an expe with a mercedes front clip, and today i saw what looked like (they did not show enought to tell) an f-150 with mercedes front clip in a Busta Rhymes music vid.

But what's a Mercedes clip?

 

It is the entire front end. Hood, fenders, grille, rebar, bumper, headlights etc. A more popular conversion is the 88-98 GM with the escalade front end. Looks even cooler when a set of caddy tails are molded in. I have seen a few f150's with the navigator front clip, but never the Mercedes front clip. The navigator front end will bolt on but as far as the Mercedes clip I would imagine that it would take some modifying.

 

Why would anybody want to pretend their Ford F150 is a Mercedes? ennis

So if I put a Mercedes hood ornament on my truck will it increase the resale value?

 

according to the rice law it does. it would probably add like 65hp too.

There isn't one rapper on this planet with the ability to think for them selves!

It is all about image and perception...Mercedes is an icon of wealth...remember when all of the idiot rappers were wearing the Mercedes hood ornament (Usually stolen) around their neck on a chain! Have you also noticed that MB no longer uses those external ornaments?!?!?

All it takes is one rapper to say something is cool and then all thug types, rappers and wannabes will follow suit.

In my neighborhood all of the thug/rapper types are buying old police cruisers and putting ugly chrome wheels on them and then reclining the drivers seat all the way back and trying to look cool. It must have been in a video!!

Maybe if a rapper wrote a song that said don't break the law and think for your self the world would be a better place!

Cool, combine that with my F150online.com sticker (15hp) that should give me 80hp extra!!! I called some junkyards and the only ones I could find the spring bearings had gone bad.

 

No bull, there is a kid who drives around in a 98 Explorer with a billet grille and the mercedes emblem in the center of the grille. To top it off he actually put E420 emblems on the doors. Also the 18" Arelli assasyns and the TV's make it even more of a ghetto cruiser. Needless to say this kid is definitely confused.
