Question Dead Pedals

I have a F150 Lightning and wasn't really sure where to post this as this really has to do with all F150 based vehicles.

The truck doesn't have a dead pedal on the left like I am used to. This might sound weird but I am so used to having one is their anyway to have one fabricated? I know this is probably a stupid question but I like having someplace to securly plant my foot especially when playing a little aggressively with my truck.

Any ideas?

I wouldn't mind having one too, but I think it would be a bit difficult to put one in with the present parking brake setup.

Yes! I don't know how many times my left foot has hunted around for a dead pedal in my truck. Ford should add one for a couple of bucks in cost to them and add it on to the sticker. Money well spent.

Well, hell......

at least I'm not the only one. Thanks for the responses. I might tinker around with it to see what I can come up with. If I come up with anything workable I will post.

Hehe. I never knew it was called a dead pedal. I always called it a left foot rest.

I have a friend who visits me from time to time and he really hates driving my truck. He doesn't know what to do with his left foot. All his cars have clutches and dead pedals. He flies 757s and 767s so he's used to having pedals under both feet.

This is the first time I hear about dead pedals.
I had never heared about it.
I am driving cars with autotransmission for 20 years now.
Never had a car with a stick.

Took my lessons in a car with a stick though.

So, I am kind of used to it, doesn't bother me.

well damn...I just KNEW somebody was gonna tell me that there was an aftermarket DP for the F150. I just spent my first full day with my new truck and that is probably the only thing I have found that I really dont like about it.

Shouldn't be too hard to make....

I agree, they are great for keeping you planted firmly in the seat. Bouncing around off road is much better with one.

Coming soon.... the Signmaster Dead Pedal! A must have for all members!
