Complete Idiot...
Yep - theres always pockets of high and low. Last fillup was yesterday for $1.12 here in Lakeville. I've got three places I keep an eye on around this side of the river for cheap gas. Citgo at Burnsville Parkway and 35W in Burnsville is usually lower than everyone else. I also watch Citgo at Cedar and 42 in Apple Valley, and the three stations along County Road 46 and I35, Texcao, Superamerica, Kwik Trip and Sinclair and Fleet Farm if you venture a little further south. They seem to track pretty close to being the lowest. Scott's Amoco at Gardenview and County Road 42 in Apple Valley always waits a day before jacking up their price. Good luck getting into a pump though!
Richfield was always pricey on gas. If you need gas there, head to Bloomington around Penn and 90th for an Amoco, Total (not sure what it is now, and Holiday. Usually cheap there too.
Gas at the Superamerica or PDQ at Old Highway 8 and County Road C in New Brighton/Roseville generally is on the low side too!
Can you tell I get around for work?
Former Ford Man - glad to see cheap gas has extended itself out of the Twin Cities! I was out about three weeks ago ang got stuck paying at least 15 cents more than in town. Bummer.

cheap gas, guys
Boy am I jealous of yall, gas just went down last week to $1.55 from a whopping $1.79.It seems like the west coast always has some of the highest gas prices in the nation.
That guy was a real idiot, I am sure he was thinking " hey come pull up beside me so I can screw my door and your truck up" Geeze......

Gas...
Well Gopher,
Gas went up a little bit, but not as high as what it was earlier. Still not as bad as the $1.89 that gas was awhile ago....What a difference it makes going from a $48+ fillup to a $26 fillup. I can still handle $1.20 a gallon.
Former Ford Man-
That gas station is nuts when gas is cheap...One on Hwy 65. It is really funny because the Amoco across 65 is always about 15 to 20 cents more than them. No wonder why no one ever fills up there.
I will report what I pay for gas this weekend, I am going up near Bemidji to go hunting this weekend. Two weeks ago it was at $1.49 a gallon, then dropped to $1.43 a gallon on Sunday.

Gotta agree! The $1.89 fillups were pretty rough on the wallet! Just having fillups under $30 again has been nice. Of course with winter coming, I'll cut my fill up price in half, but of course I'll be at the gas station twice as often! Gotta love winter... Keeping the tank over 1/2... Oh well...
Gopher....
Well went hunting this weekend, and saw many different gas prices. I was going thru Cambridge on Friday, and gas was $1.15, then it went to $1.22 at Mora, then got to Swan River, and gas was $1.27. Where I was hunting at Cass Lake, gas was $1.29. Bemidji, gas was either $1.22 or $1.27....Hummmm Lets see, save $.05 or throw my money away. Anyways, got some of the best gas mileage coming home, when I was loaded with firewood up past the bedrails....Had 260 miles on a half tank, usually that is what I average on a full tank of gas.....Not to mention, out of that 260 miles, 50 miles of that was run in the woods, mainly in 4x4 mode.
Not too bad, only two and a half tanks of gas getting up north, running around hunting, and then getting home. So it cost me about $70 bucks total. Not bad compared that before it took nearly $50 before to fill the truck.

Any luck hunting? Whatca hunting for?
We're headed up to Lake Vermillion this weekend to do a little grouse hunting and final prep for deer hunting. Also get to do the firewood thing coming home - we've got a crapload that we need to split and bring down. Also have to help bring the dock and the boat lift in too. No more freeze you *** off walleye fishing for this year...

Hunting...
That is exactly what I was hunting for....Ruffed Grouse. I got 3 total for the weekend....8 total this year in two weekends, going agian this coming weekend agian....and more firewood.
My dad has fared a little better, he got 4 this past weekend, and has a total of 10 on the year, agian with two weekends of hunting. Not doing too bad considering the numbers are so low on the grouse this year.
I will say though, Sunday morning I should have had 3 to 4 more as I was about 20 yards from the truck, and there were 8 standing behind a tree (didn't have the dog, as my dad had both the labs with him) and I got 1 of the 8....
But then agian you know how grouse are. Anyone who says that hunting grouse is easy, needs to try it where my dad and I hunt.
We also saw a 14 point buck this weekend, it was chasing 5 does through the woods...Stopped and looked at us, snorted, and then went on his way. That was nice to see....Damn, wish that it would have been deer season, and had a slug in the gun, as he was only about 30 yards from us.
You will have to fill me in if you have any luck this weekend hunting. Take care.
Better get that dock out early in the weekend, as it is suppose to be cold this weekend....but then agian can you ever trust the weather man?

Well, you've had better luck than we have. Beween three of us, we've only shot 3 this year, and haven't seen too many more. Its been awfully quiet with the downturn in numbers this year. The dogs haven't even really found much of anything to keep them busy. Oh well...
All I can say is thank god for waders! When we took out the other dock and lift a couple of weeks ago it was already cold enough. We had about a half an inch of snow on the ground then. Hope we have about the same for deer hunting. It always helps!

You guys make me sick. Ours just came down to aboot 60 cents a litre (lowest in a long time). Thats about $2.40 a gallon in Canadian, or about $1.60 in Yankee dollars, eh.
Thats 87 octane. 91 to 94 octane is still aboot 75 to 80 cents depending on the station.
