About 2:30 today, the fire alarm went off, and eveyone evacuated the building, and they told us that we wouldn't be allowed back into the building for at least 2 hours. There were about 9 police cruisers, a ladder truck, and 2 engines, a Heavy Rescue unit (bomb squad) and an EOD.

Turns out that a worker in the building found an envelope that was leaking a white powder out of it. So, the Heavy Rescue unit showed up in those rubber hazardous material suits with masks and everything. They roped off the whole building as well as the street in front. They blocked traffic for 2 blocks, and no on was allowed on the street.

Turns out it was nothing i guess, cause they let us back in. But man, there was personnel everywhere.

 

In Montreal we had 6 blocks evacuated and another building later was also evacuated. People are scared within reason and some *******s will play on those feelings

Luckily it's nothing, or is it?

bin laden's (don't use capitals) plan "Make the US live in fear" is sort of working and that pisses me off. Is he bluffing and has no means of any other terror or is he prepped for more *****. I too am scared of all this crap. Heck I found a pack of cigarettes on the roof of my car one morning and it made me scared for a second. Then I though who in the hell would want to poison me anyway, I'm a poor regular slob! Then I thought heck even if it is something, I'd rather die than live in fear. SO I picked it up and threw it aside (yes I littered)...

Just heard Tom Brokaw's secretary opened a letter with Anthrax in it. This is getting out of hand. They better start cranking out the vaccine.
