I installed it a few weeks ago. It installed flawlessly. The new start menu takes a little to get used to, esp when I'm still using NT here at work. I havn't really used it that much, but from what I have seen, I like it.

installed XP, crashed on install, will not recognize CD burner, crashed after proper video card software installed, crashed on numerous start ups.

It's been about a week and I've gotten it much more stable.

I installed it over the weekend and had no problems. No crashes yet! I really like the look of XP too!

.....

hey captain,
i have an adaptec cd burner and I got those errors about "incompatible hardware with this version of windows"..

It gave me an option to "continue" or "exit installation", I chose to continue and everything setup perfect..

also the windows updates proving to be good ones so far

partrick - I got alot of those "incompatable errors" they are a pain but not one has caused any problems. And I don't have any problems with cd burner software, it's XP does not recognize my cd burner. The BIOS has it show up, but XP won't show it or find it. The second HD on that cable is recognized. It's just one of those annoying querks that give you headaches for days.

Windows -- eXtreme Pain :-)

Seriously, I run Debian Linux most of the time, but am still using
Win2k for the random game or school project that requires Windows software.
