Cool Are there any golfers on the boards?

If so, what clubs are you currently swinging? I just got a set of
Tommy Armour Oversize irons. I'm dying to try them out. Has
anybody tried the firesole 3 wood? I bought it last year and
have not had good results.

Cool I golf in the low 70's

I stay home if it gets any colder than that.

Don't have my own clubs. I use my brother's because I'm just a hacker and clubs are too expensive to mess up.

He had some nice clubs, not sure what brand. I'll ask him when he starts talking to me again.

A couple years ago I bought myself some Dunlop woods and irons. The shafts are all graphite, big mistake. I'm too young (45) to be using graphite shafts on the irons. Lost all interest in the game and only play occasionally. Health and fitness training is more important to me now and I think it is a great hobby. Good luck on your golf game. ennis

I am obcessed with the game. Northern Michigan is golf heaven (well, 20 weeeks out of the year anyhow). I play x-14 Callaway irons (3-PW) and GBB D,3W and Titeist Vokey 52,56,60 deg. wedges.

The Callaways are nice. My friend (who makes more money than
me) is looking at a set right now. I believe he is also looking at
some Pings. I can't remember the type, i4's maybe? Golf is a
very addictive game!

One of the best pass times ever. I live in Calgary Alberta Canada so we really only have 4 months that we can cram golf into. Love the sport and it's really big around here. Been playin ever since I was 12. I'm not the best out there but shot a good game. I average around 80-85 which is a good Sunday Afternoon score. Took a few years off and just got back into it.

I have golfed since I was 5. Played in high school and college. My brother also played in college and has tried to make the tour a couple of times but never made it. He does have his Class A card. He played in the Buick Classic the summer of '00 and I caddied for him...had a blast but missed the cut.

He now works at Liquidgolf and does all of their buying. Check them out at www.liquidgolf.com if you need any new equipment.

Oh yeah, I play with Ping Eye 2's that I have had since '86. Love them and would not trade them right now for anything else. I am using a Taylor Made Firesole driver and 3 wood, Cleveland Classic wedges and Odyssey putter.

Ahhh......golf.......

Love to golf! Usually play around 30-40 games a year, but I still stink at it!

Using Powerbuilt TPS's right now, been looking for some new clubs though. We have a local company here called Jazz (Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada) that makes a really nice set called Fat Cats. I'll be watching out for deals this winter.........

Angry

Have been playing for a loooong time - but you'd never know it by my scorecard - 28 handicap.
Just signed up for winter golf - start next week.
Use TNT irons - Taylor knock-off metal woods - all graphite shafts

IT'S NOT THE CLUBS ! !

Got a new pair of golf socks for my birthday and got a hole in one

The only good ***** I hit last week, was when I stepped on a rake in the sand trap

Post graduation gift

Mom was nice enough to get me a set of irons for graduating college so i went with the expensive ones. I'm swinging Ping eye 3's right now but still have real wood woods. I don't swing my driver ever but can hit my 3 wood upwards of 300 sometimes. It gets me where i need to be. Now i just have to get my putting better and i can drop into the 70's probably.

The only fun thing I ever do with golfing is cutting open a ball and watching the rubber bands disintegrate and fly all over the place.

Sorry, guys. I'd rather go fishing that golf. I'd rather go 4-wheeling that golf.

BTW, interesting nick, "trapper," for a golfer. You trying to tell us something about your game?

I usually play 3 or 4 times a week from the middle of April to the end of September or so...kind of depends on the weather here in Minnesota. We have three pretty decent 18-hole city courses and you can get a yearly membership for right around $425, so that's a pretty good deal these days.

Right now I'm a 3 handicap. I carry a Taylor Made Firesole driver (8.5 degree), Callaway Steelhead 4 wood, Taylor Made Burner irons (with the original Bubble graphite shaft) - 3 thru A-Wedge, Cleveland Classics Sand Wedge and Lob Wedge and a Ping Anser2 putter. I might look at one of those 300 Series Taylor Made drivers or maybe a Titleist 975 next year. I've hit TaylorMade drivers since I was a sophomore in high school though, so I'll probably stick with them.

I love Golf. Haven't played as much this year as in the past due to a sholder ingery. Now that it is all better I will be back at it with a vengance.

I have a Bertha Driver, and 3 wood, Old Cleavland 5 wood.
For irons I have the Ram Pro Set, Cleavland wedges, and a Leavland Ben Crenshaw putter.

I'll play as much as my Lovely wife will let me.......although, I have had a back injury for the last few months so its not an issue. I have a set of Ping ISI irons 1-PW+SW and a Taylormade driver.....the clubs are good the guy using them stinks but i love playing.....I took a part time job at a driving range and then did a side job for the owner who in turn bought me the pings...before that I had a nice set of Knights
