Just got my new screens from Cervini's for the Ram Air hood. Maybe I'll have them painted the color of the truck or black, or maybe not, just leave them the way they are. They're polished aluminium. They're pretty nice. I'd rather have the working Ram Air set-up but, still waiting. So, should I go with them or not? What do you guys think?

Absolutely, with. Seems to radically change the entire appearance of the truck! I always wondered how to change my color without actually painting it!

Heh...just kidding. The inserts look great, I would leave them as they are without painting them. Gives a bit of an industrial look.

Hey man, that looks sweet!! Leave em the color they are. Oh, if I may, what did they run ya? How about the whole entire setup (hood and all)? Just wondering because I too have a 1997 F150 w/ ORP which is black. I was never fond of hood scoopes and what not on trucks, only sports carz, but now I am reconsidering the look for my truck. Once again, nice looking rig...just don't overkill with accessories, it will ruin the affect/effect (how ever you spell it).

 

No overkill going on here. What you see is what you get. I'm done. Cervini's sent me grille's today. I asked for them six months ago. They gave me ones that weren't that great. They told me they were the old style, an they were having new ones made up that were better and nicer. Well, these are defintely nicer. They brushed aluminium. Nice. Paid 400 for the hood, nothing for the screens. hat's nice too.

It's not easy having the cleanest truck in Jersey. Well, in my opinion it is. Just can't stand a dirty truck. I clean it everytime it goes out on the road. What would the other aliens say. Actually, I had help in figuring you out....well...during my last alien abduction the aliens accused me of not having as "pristine" truck as yours...I grew argry at their hurtful attitude to me (after all, I introduced them to MOONPIES!).....then they felt sorry for me and clued me in on the xtra special whippy doo anti dirt electromagnetic field generator that they installed in YOUR TRUCK ! Because of this alien / F-150 squable they said that to level the playing field here, they would install a "grand cosmic super duper winnie the poo approved and tellie tubbie designed
BLACK HOLE WARP THRUSTER DRIVE" that runs on regular pump gas...hmmm. Pictures to follow.

 

Looks the best to me with the screens left unpanited. One of these days I might have my truck repainted and it can once again look as good as yours on others on here. Take care.

 

You gotta watch the grand pooh ba. That dirty bastard will stab you in the back, first chance he gets. Just make sure they give you the 3054 year model. That 3053 year was junk. Those thruster coils have a tendency to expolde the paks at 43,768 rpms, cause it's too much spark being generated thru the 104mm cyber syntec puretec ultra nova wires. The new models have the anti silicone heat treated panther brewing oreo gel coated digital max factor wires. Way better spark to the new updated thruster and coil paks. Don't you think?

 

Dude, I like your truck. I see nothing wrong with your truck. Is your paint that bad? Could have fooled me. I think it looks great.

 

Thanks for the compliments man. The paint is bad in spots. The grille shell has and gouge in it and pit marks from bugs and stones. On the hood I got the famous spider web type marks. Then on the bumper cover and on the passenger front fender the clear coat is flaking. To tell you the truth the front fender and I suspect the bumper cover was repainted at one point. The way I found out was when I went to remove the pin striping I found the paint ledge where they had painted upto the pin stripe and stopped. Once I seen that I looked real close and you could see where they did a poor job wet sanding. I had the truck over a year before I noticed this and then it took a professional body man to point it out to many. SO it's not too bad. Then you got your regular daily driver type scratchs. You know it seems the hader I try to keep scratchs out the more I get. Next spring I plan to get the hood and paint the whole dog house or maybe even the whole truck if $$$ holds out well. Don't get me wrong it's not all that bad, I'm just **** about the paint.

 

You gonna paint it the same color? I'm sure you are. But I wouldn't bother with the pinstripe.IMO. I'm sure what ever you do, it will look sweet.
