F 150 help

I have a 1997 Ford F 150 REg CAb Longbed. IT is a manual with the V-6 in it. It is White with a bedliner and railliners. It has little options but is in superb conditon. What price would you estimate the truck to be? Also i am thinkin aoubt lowering it with an airride kit. Is this a good idea. I am also get 2 10" subs and euro tailights. Do you think it will look good after i am done? also so i consider a had top tonneau cover? anysit4es that would help?

Try thesesites

First off - are you planning on selling the truck? If so I don't know if you'll get as much back as you put into it - some guys might not want it lowered or like the tails - it's all personal prefernce.
To see the value of it as it is now, try going to www.kbb.com (KellyBlue Book) or www.edmunds.com. They should give you an accurate idea of the trucks value.
Good luck! Keep us posted!

Im not selling it just trying to see if i got a good de4al or not. I paid 7,000 for it and it has 68,000 miles. There is nothing wrong with it and it runs great. Thanks

Sure sounds good!

Well cjb150 - that sounds like a very good deal to me! I paid 14,8 for mine last Oct - it had 54K & while it has the 4.6 & XLT tim it was twice what you paid! I'm not complaining - I love my truck. Just wanted to point out that you seem to have gotten a good deal.
I would take the VIN to a dealer & ask for an Oais report to make sure any/all recall work has been done. The Oasis will tell you of any work done to the truck & is free. I had no idea that just a few months before my truck was turned in it had the entire rear replaced (bent right axle & new gears!), had 4 tie rods replaced & the radio replaced too as the back had rusted out & shorted! I probably would have still taken the truck but it would have been nice to have the info before hand.
Good luck - enjoy the truck & have fun modding it! Post pics too ok? Oh - stop in chat some nite - we're there every nite from 9:30 or so on! Bye!
