What's your favorite Stones tune?
I really don't listen to or own any Rolling Stones CD's, but there are few songs that get cranked whenever they happen to come on the radio. I would have to say my favorite is Shattered(that's the name right?
) followed closely by Beast of Burden. Forgive me if I got the names wrong, that's what I know them by,lol.,,,,98

"Gimme Shelter" works for me or "The Last Time or "not Fade Away."
Saw them in '65 (?) on their first American Tour, at Big Reggie's in Excelsior, MN. They were taking a break as we drove by the hall, and we flipped them off...and they returned the favor. We thought they were funny til I heard their music.

Back in 81' I think it was they were recording a few miles down the road from here in one of the "Brookfields". They decided they were going to play at a local club, Sir Morgan's (my namesake) Cove here in Worcester. They were booked in the morning under the name, "The ****roaches" and word hit the street fast that it was them. The party on the street that night was incredible. The police arrived by bus in full riot gear, for what, as the crowd just enjoyed a great night. The Stones arrived by bus with every band member looking at the crowd through the bus windows. It was a night to remember and the locals were forever thankful.

Great stories guys!! My only brushes with fame are meeting Billy Gibbons in Emos, a music bar in Houston. I actually got to talk to him for a few minutes before the barbacks cleared the place out
And yes, he walked in with a beautiful woman on each arm. It must be nice
The next was the Jazz festival in the Woodlands in 1988. My brother worked for JVC, the company that was sponsoring the show, and we got to go backstage for a while. My brother and I were standing around talking when Miles Davis walked by on his way onto the stage. He passed within a couple of feet of us, as we stood there slack jawed,LOL.,,,,,98
"Satisfaction" and "Sympathy for the Devil" are also crankworthy
