Ross Perot
His greatest fault was telling it like it really was. Nobody wanted to hear that. RIP.
Ross Perot was first and foremost a businessman and he knew how to make and to keep a buck and he wanted to implement business type economic reforms on the US Gov but that didn't happen. He also knew that NAFTA was bad for this country but no one believed him at the time and GW Bush and Bill Clinton and their BIG money supporters swept him aside. Perot was a populist, this-country-comes-first candidate just like Trump was 20 years later. Think of where we'd be now if Perot had been elected; NAFTA would have never passed and US industries may have survived longer, GWB would have never been able to open the US's borders to tens of millions of illegals, and Obama had never been elected and this county wouldn't have had to suffer through 8 years of the Obama induced 2nd Great Depression. I voted for Perot and it's a dammed shame that he lost.
I liked what he said and I would have voted for him until he dropped out of the race supposedly because of some conspiracy theory about his daughter's wedding and then got back in later. That's when I decided he was too much of a kook. And his VP choice couldn't speak. I think his VP choice was approaching senility like Biden. Perot was right about NAFTA and many other things. Yep, I agree that he got Bill Clinton elected. At least Trump took down Criminal Hillary.
When some of his employees were imprisoned in either Iraq, Iran or Syria the government did nothing to get them released. He personally hired commandos and rescued them. A movie was made about, if I remember correctly.
