I didn't watch that much of the video but it made me think of another video. When I bought a 95 Mark VIII Lincoln, GM sent me a video of the Cadillac Eldorado. It was 20 minutes of some yuppy looking dude cruising and looking cool in his caddy. It had no details about hp, performance, gas mileage or any useful information, just the yuppy dude cruising. I immediately threw it in the trash. If it had included an address for a response, I would have responded that the reason I bought the Mark was V8 engine, rwd, independent rear suspension, not some lousy fwd garbage.

Today ford released more info on the 2020 explorer, specifically the ST and the new hybrid. The ST gets the 3.0 ecoboost rated at 400 hp and 415 tq and ford claims a top speed of 143 mph. There is also a 21" wheel and tire package available and two different brake upgrade packages. The hybrid gets a 3.3 V-6 that gets 318 hp and the battery pack is under the second row seats.

Is it just me or does the new Edge look a tad smaller (shorter?) than the previous version? In the commercials I’ve seen you’d almost swear it was the size of an Escape.....???

I think it's you. The wife had a 13 escape and now she has a 17 edge and I traded a 16 edge in for my explorer. The edge may look small but it's a lot bigger than the escape, especially the interior.

I bought a 2018 Sport in June, and while it's ok, I miss my truck too much so dumping the explorer on Wednesday and getting a 2019 F-150.
What was I thinking believing I could live a happy life without a truck??

I have been waiting for them to get out some more details around this. It's time for the Wife to get into something new and this seems to check all the boxes and will be cheaper than the X5 and GLS that she was looking at.

I like what I see, but will need to wait till fall for one to hit the floor and see it in person.
