Damn terrorists.

According to an anonymous letter, 4 tunnels in Amsterdam and Rotterdam would be blown up by terrorists at 8.00/8.15 this morning.
2 types of cars were mentioned with on board a tank of a highly explosive mixture.

The threat was real for sure.Special forces were on the spot with snipers at the entrance of the tunnels.

Nothing happened.

With suspects arrested all over Europe,this gives me a real bad feeling.

What will the future bring us.
No one knows

 

The future will bring us worse and worse unless we eradicate the terrorist menace while we have the chance.

As the terrorist's repeated acts of aggression have shown, this is war, albeit a new kind of war.

If we are to be victorious, we should be less concerned with building coalitions and proving our case in the court room, and more concerned with eradicating the threat by any and all means.

 

Well said Dave. Terrorists only understand 2 things: Death and destruction. I hope we give it to them soon.

 

I'm beginning to think that the only way to stop it is to get all the countries to agree that if any terrorists are using their country, they need to find them and turn them over to whatever country is a victim of the terrorists. If they refuse to turn them over, they get blanket bombed or nuked with the blessing of the United Nations.

 

Good idea! - almost.
Let us not forget that the terrorists may in fact be holding the country that they chose to 'hole up in' hostage. and therein lies the problem. These people care nothing for human life, and prey on small defenseless countries.
I imagine once they 'select' a coutry, they use a very typical form of control called conditioning.
The BGs (Bad Guys) tell the country anything to get in such as; they will help feed and defend the people, acting as a savior. After a time, the BGs begin to demand total complience with their agenda and threaten them with horrorific acts and conditions worse than the country had before. Not wanting to go back to the even worse conditions, they do what they can to make it look like they are complying. Why doesn't the little country rid themselves of the BGs themselves? Because they don't think they can. Secretly, some of them now probably wish another country would take them over and rid them of the BGs, if it means the end of their little country. Which probably won't happen because the little country doesn't have much to offer to another country except worthless real estate anyway. Others probably don't mind doing as the BG wishes because at least (using a metaphoric term "If you can't beat them, join them") they feel they can have some control over the situation. At any rate the little country is F'ed. Both from the inside, and from the "Now mad at them countries" on the outside. The outcome will not be pretty.
If we take out only the BGs, the little country would still be very unorganized at best, and need strong leadership. The lack of leadership is probably why the little country was chosen for a passive takeover to begin with. While these remaining people argue over who should lead, most likely, a bigger country will just come in and take them over anyway, killing many innocent people.
If we just carpet bomb the place, many innocent people will die, and we will look like villains. It is possible the BGs will escape to find another refuge country. Only this time, the BGs will encounter less resistance as it would appear that they (the BGs) are needed to protect that country from the big bad US. Then it starts all over again.

Thats just the way I see it. I am not saying I am right, but careful thought needs to occur in this dangerous game where the oponent has nothing to lose.
and before you say it, I am all for taking out the Bad Guys!
