Was actually looking for the Thunderbird I’ve always told myself I was going to buy when I ran into this little gem - a 2001 Ford Mustang GT in pristine condition and only 8100 miles on the clock!
I owned a 70 Mustang fastback for 11 years. Bought it new and after 7 years, swapped the 302, C4 auto, and 8" rear for a 351W, FMX auto, and 9" rear. Added power disc brakes, Addco sway bars, and 428 Mustang springs to the front. Loved that car!
My son has owned 3, a 95 V6 stick, 2004 GT stick,, and his current a 2016 GT with the performance pack.
My stepson has owned a 2000 V6 auto. This is what i bought for him after he totaled the 2006 Miata that i had bought for him 6 weeks prior.

I sure wouldn't have bought him a Mustang after totaling a Miata, I'd have made him suffer with an old Buick or something - maybe an old Crown Vic taxicab.

Yeah, it should have been an automatic Escort! I bought the Mustang for $4,000. He drove it for 4 years and sold it for $4200. Prices went up after the recession. I wasnt' going to buy another car with a stick shift.
