America-A Tribute to Heroes
I enjoyed the show last night. Nice to see these huge stars come together like this. Nice to see Mariah fully dressed. Nice to see Fred Durst with John Rezinik (sp?). Nice to see Eddie Vedder who doesn't even like music videos. They all did a great job and a great service to the country. I called and donated money. My call went through to a Mariott Hotel reservation line in Omaha, Neb. It was the hotel manager and her family manning the phones. Many businesses donated their phones and card acceptance capabilities. This whole experience has been amazing to me. A reminder that sports are just games, musicians and actors are just people but we are all Americans.
Sorry seacrow!
I just came across your post - there's so much to keep up with lately I must have missed it!
VERY well said - we ARE all Americans! You're right about the good feelings we get when we work together. Hopefully, this feeling will last thru time - not just in our awesome country but throughout the world! Global cooperation like this is something of a precedent I'd say! I don't think it happened even in WWI or WWII! Let's hope this tragedy turns out to be a blessing in disguise. Maybe it's the end of hatred & prejuidice & the start of friendship the likes of which this planet has never seen before! God Bless!
