Son bought a new 2016 Mustang GT

Wow! It is sooo nice. The bodies are tight, quiet, and the 435hp engine is impressive! If I was his age, I'd want one too.

They are growing on me. Can't wait for them to go on a little more of a diet.

Or the Shelby GT350

Miss my 2013 GT, but wouldn't mind a 2015+ either.

But if I were to get into another one, it would be a GT350

The dealers are tacking on lots of money to the stickers on those GT 350's.

Yes, because they know some idiot will pay that for them.

I know multiple people that have gotten them for MSRP or slightly above.

That extra $10k+ doesn't help you "invest" in the purchase.

I know what you are referring to...

But whenever I hear "car" and "investment" put together nowadays... I just think:

A car an "investment"...?

Still a nice looking ride!

Nice! I test drive one of the first 15s that hit the town.. Very nice car, only thing I didn't like with the test drive was the hood. It reminded me of a mid 90 Lincoln town Car. Miles and miles of hood

I sure do like the rear view of the new 'Stang's and the 5.0 power plant is so much stronger than the 4.6 that's in my '08. From strictly a "looks" perspective, I'll rank them as follows:

#1 = '05-'09 -- the "purest" design of all the S197's and most attractive overall.

#2 = '15+ -- as stated above, the nicest rear view by far although a tad "busy" up front.

#3 = '10 - '14 -- hand's down the "ugly duckling" of the S197 cars.

I would take a 2013 or 2014 over any of them.

I am not a fan of the 2015's at all. They are a nice car but left that throwback design I really loved in the dust.

My son is looking hard at putting on a Roush supercharger on his new 2015! Seems to me 435hp would be enough but I'm out of touch being an old fart.
