I have never seen single Star Wars movie -- not sure if this one will be my first or not. I guess it all depends if the wife and boy drag me along.....

I won't spoil it for those of you who plan on going to see it, but if you must know, Wikipedia has a good rundown of the plot.

I saw it. I have been a huge Star Wars nerd my entire life. I was really worried it would not be good. Other than being heartbroken by a certain part, I must say it was an outstanding movie. Very well done, I was pleasantly surprised.

Very satisfying to see a respectable homage paid to the original. Sets the story up to be able to do WHATEVER they want now. They can really get crazy with creativity.

But MAAAAAAN I got so many questions.....

So do I, my biggest question is how does Rey relate to the legacy characters and why does she have the force but not know it.

Well, first of all, you do not need to be born to a Jedi to be Force sensitive. You can be a Muggleborn, if I dare cross nerd-ery lines.

However, she is very much an angry person. She hates her home world, she hates scavenging, she hates that her family will never come back.... heck at this point we don't even know if SHE even knows who her family was.

I wonder how this story will unfold.

Hmm... that may have been a little spoiler-y......

True, but since she has a natural ability to pilot just about anything, and can fix just about anything mechanical, I suspect she is related to or is a Skywalker, she just doesn't know it.

I read the book before seeing it today. I'm glad I read it before the movie because the book explained lots more than the movie.

That's my bet. They mentioned LukeSky was training young Jedi, and KyloRen went crazy. Maybe he tucked her away in the same way that LukeSky was hidden from DVader

who was darth vaders dad? how did he come to be?

thought it was a great movie. saw it the first night it was out.

to me it is kind of a remake of the first one,. next one is about training. last will be the battle. my guess

to me seeing a great syfi movie is all about giving up control, logic for 2 hours. mini escape from reality. i love those small minutes were i feel like a kid again. when they had the trailers and the first one showed the Millennium Falcon, that was a priceless minute.

If you go back to Phantom Menace, it is explained that Anakin was conceived by the force... No father figure was ever present. Think virgin Mary!
