Anyone else have to listen to this crap?

I work with about 20 other guys doing maintenance at a college. 19 of them drive Chevy/Gmc trucks, one drives a Ram. I drive a 2.7 4x4 screw eco and almost always have owned fords. Almost everyday I have to listen to how great the Chevy's and rams are and how sorry and sucky the fords are. I have always out run them and out pulled them, and did not have to run my truck to the shop each month to get something fixed on my truck like all of them seem to have to do. It got so bad today after I told all of them that their trucks couldn't carry my Eco boosts jock strap, that I had to threaten to knock each and every one of them out. They all said they would not drive a ford if they were given one. I told all of them that I would rather walk and carry ford hubcaps than to drive a chevy or ram. What about it guys, do you have to listen to punk cry baby chevy/ram fan boys like this to?

Ford for life.

I've learned there are dopes everywhere. I drive ford but respect each make and learn what I can about each. I don't associate with people like you described because they're typically tools. Good natured ribbing is one this, irrational fan boys on either side is another. Then again I want to build/restore a 70s C10 eventually.

I just tell the chevy guys that when I travel we play a game called "COUNT THE CHEVYS THAT STILL HAVE TAIL GATE HANDLES"........Usually shuts them up for a little while.

How about count the Chevys that do NOT have a burned out DRL on one side or the other?

Be careful -- they might ask you to count the F-150's that don't have leaky 3rd tail lights or their fuel filler doors flapping in the breeze as they roll down the highway.....lol

Just mention Dexcool to the GM guys. If they don't hang their heads in shame they don't know much about their trucks. If I could find the person who gave that crap the ok I would beat them to death with corroded GM parts. The stuff quickly turns acidic and eats up the cooling system. They used it for years knowing it was a problem.

Or, challenge them to a race with a $100 penalty for every .5 liter of displacement they have on you when they lose. A GM guy with a 5.3 would be out $520 a race and the Mopar guy $600. You could pay your truck note with their money.

Best to ignore the ignorant. Their only desire is to get your feathers ruffled and if you enter into the insult/brag trading they perceive a win. My best reply is ya your prolly right in a rather condescending manner and walk away to find something to do.

Last I checked the GM, Dodge and Ford dealers all have a service center out back. that goes for toyota and honda also.

is it really any different that arguing about a sports team. a team where the owners are billionaires, the payers are millionaires and the ham and eggers get all upset about it and pay the owners and player salary. we have a game to determine the champion and then start all over again the next year.

certainly not worth losing a friend or going to jail over. there is nothing you can say to change someones mind that has already desided they are right. save your energy. better yet ask one to lunch and offer to drive. you know they will be thinking, man this is nice truck that runs pretty darn good, just know that they will never admit it.

I get the same ribbing. Most of my buddies and even my brother are GM guys. A couple drive Dodges. Only 2 of my friends drive Fords but I don't see them too often so I get a ton of Ford jokes hurled my way. I don't let it bother me. I am not brand loyal so I don't feel the need to defend my choice of a Ford. People that are that brand loyal will always find a way to prove their way is the only way. Who cares if you are happy with what you have that is all that matters.

In Cajun Country try backing down a boat or pulling into a deer lease in a Honda Ridgeline and see what kind of looks and laughs you'll get.

Hey Guys, I had a great laugh( to myself) today at work watching all the cussing and gripping from two of the chevy owners I work with. One guys truck would not start so another chevy guy pulled his truck over to jump start the first truck. Finally got the first one started but it would barely idle and there was not any power steering and it would only run at about 5 miles per hour. The second guy went to get in his truck and the door would not open with the key or the key remote. He had to crawl in thru the passenger side to drive it to the dealer and the first guy had to call a tow truck to take his to the shop. Both of these trucks are less than 2 years old. It was time to go home so I jumped in my " crappy/ suckey ford ", fired the baby Eco up and offered any one of them a ride to work tomorrow if they needed one, and did a little tire screech as waved goodnight. Now I probably could rub it in on them, but I wont and I do feel kind of bad that they are having truck problems. I know how I would feel if it was mine. But still it was kind of" karma" funny.
