Cheapest way to ship headlights?

I have two EBAY listings now for OEM headlights from a 2006 F150, I calculated the weight and box dimensions (7lbs in 18"x23"x14" box). This is the same box I got my Harley headlights in so I will use that.

Anyway, using UPS calculators and EBAY calculators it says it will be around $45 for shipping to TX or farther(I'm in NJ)?? Closer is around $25. When I bought both headlights from a vendor, they charged $20 for shipping TWO BOXES. How do they get shipping so cheap, am I doing something wrong??

I want to save money here for the buyer and myself!

I just shipped a box with my oem headlights 12x12x11. 20lbs. 41 dollars. Shipped by fedex ground. But I also had a lot of packing and it had my retro fit items inside.
It was a big box with smaller boxes inside.

Keep in mind that if you bought from a business that does a lot of shipping, they will have special rates negotiated with UPS or Fed Ex or USPS because of the volume they can generate. If you're just "Joe Blow" walking into the UPS Store to ship one item you pay full fare!

USPS is about $30. Check Fedex Ground - I couldn't enter dimensions but a 7# package comes up at $11.25.

I guess it is what it is. Sucks that shipping costs would be almost half of the items value...............

I did put a note in my ad that the buyer can research any shipping they want, and I'll do it.

Thanks.

if you know anyone that owns a business or a shop you deal with ask them to ship and give them cash for the rate. the ups stores are a total rip. they charge over 2 times what my rates are to ship from my shop.

or tell the guy buying to do the same, he can arrange for a call tag to pick it up from you.
