Hashtag Meanings??
Hashtag Meanings??
Any of you guys do the whole Instagram or Twitter or anything? How do you decipher the meaning of hashtags. Anyone give me a 101 level rundown on hashtags real quick? Are their like meanings to all of them?
I'm lucky I can get on my dang computer well enough to check email......
Facebook, Instagram, Twitter -- I'm not self-absorbed enough to think that what rolls around inside my head is so important that the rest of the world is sitting on the edge of their seat waiting for me to expound on my latest thought!
Plus, with the things I sometimes think about, it's probably best I keep it to myself anyways.....

While I don't use them they are a descriptive meaning.
So if you were outside by a fire pit drinking some beer you would hashtag your picture with
#outdoors #fire #beer #drinking .... etc.
I'm not really sure of the meaning but if you want you can click on the word and all the pictures will come up that are tagged with what you clicked, like #beer.
Guess it's really picture filtering.
Companies can use it for consumers to tag their pictures. We use it at my company so others polishing their vehicles can tag #PoorboysWorld and have one place to look at polished vehicles with Poorboy's World products.

In Instagram it's a way to index your pictures to make it easier for other people with common interests to find. For example, if I took a picture of my dog I could add #germanshorthairedpointer or #gsp. Then anyone could search for those hash tags and see them. They're also used to be descriptive as in a bad mechanic #couldntevenfixasandwich
