Difference between US and Canada trucks?
Other than the KPH speedometer, does anyone know what the difference between trucks built for the US and Canada are? I bought my truck in June and it was a leased truck in Canada. I know the dash was changed to a MPH dash, it has DRL's and an engin block heater. I'm just curious if there is anything else I should look for.

DF4.6 - All the trucks are generally built identical with the exception of a few parts. Some you have found, I wouldn't think that there would be anything to really worry about if you are worried. Some the states in the U.S. may even have the same truck configs. as the Canadian trucks because of the weather that they have. The biggest thing would be the dash, all the rest I would think, would be just little stuff and nothing to spend money on to get rid of. There was a bunch of us that toured the Oakville plant here in Ontario and in order keep things running smoothly they would change a whole lot on the trucks.

I'm not worried about anything in it. In fact living in Upstate NY the block heater might come in handy in the winter. Heated mirrors would be nice though. I have a 97 Taurus Wagon as a company car and it was a rental in Canada before I got it. Other than the tranny needing to be rebuilt at 90K miles it's running great with almost 120K miles on it. It has heated mirrors and they're great in the winter. I was wondering if there are emission differences or computer changes that I should know about. Thanks.
