Target T-Shirt -- Spot The Problem

I was walking through our local Target over the weekend and this t-shirt caught my eye:

Can you spot the problem......

It's been chopped behind the driver's door.

It also doesn't look like a 64. The grille looks like a 62 and the side kinda looks like a 63.

Oh, I noticed that the back looked funky, but I tossed that up to caricature-distortion or something. I guess it is half the size it's supposed to be

I was thinking it was the complete wrong car or something.

That would be a 61 Impala. My cuzin raced one with a 348 TriPower with TONS of mods including the 4.56 Dana rear end and 9" wrinkle walls. He ran AA/Super Stock with it and if he showed up, he took the trophy home. His was a dark candy apple red with a white interior.

98% of the population would never know that so they will still sell.

I did not catch it either. I'm not that into Impala's to really see the year to year differences.

Yep -- Labnerd got it first!

As someone who grew-up in a GM family that had numerous 60's-era Chevrolets (until my dad starting making the big money in the 1970's and began buying Oldsmobiles!) I spotted it the second I looked at the shirt.....

I can still remember when a neighbor came home with a new 1958 Impala...first year they made them. Silver with Red interior. I was lucky enough to have owned a '62..'63 and a '70.
