Anyone have a Impala?
My sister in law has a 2011 Impala that she has had a few years and she bought a new 2014 Durango a few months ago .. She was going to keep the impala as a second vehicle but has decided she doesn't need it. She asked if we would be interested in taking over payments of $242 for the next 22 months. Like $5300 left
Just seeing if anyone has one and if they are decent cars? This one has 65,000 miles on it, has most all options except leather and sunroof.
I would like to have a decent car to cruise around in and not have to keep driving the truck.. Ive had it 18 months and put 41000 miles on it.
I have a 04 cavalier that has been a good car i just dont like driving it that much and with 151k on it im not sure how much longer it will last

Like i said i dont need it but it would be a nice little upgrade compared to the cavalier.. And with only owing 5300 bucks is nice also.. Kbb shows around 7900 trade in and 8800 private party.

Yea it hard to get honest reviews.. all i can find is of die hard GM owners and of course they think they are the best

My brother-in-law back in Minnesota had that era Impala and I have ridden in it many times. It was a nice enough car, but I think the best way to describe it would be "unremarkable" -- not in a bad way necessarily, but just in a rental car sort of way......
He recently traded it in for a new Buick Lucerne which is a really sweet ride! I think half the reason the Impala seems so unremarkable is that it simply doesn't hold a candle to his new Buick in just about any way you could compare the two vehicles.
That Impala would be a nice step up from the Cavalier though, and the price they are asking for it could only be considered a "sweetheart" deal. I'd go for it as long as you have the cash and the extra room to store another ride.....

I may take a drive to Lubbock next weekend and take it for a little drive and really check it out..
I have the room for another vehicle, so far just have the Cavalier, Eb, Lincoln Mark Viii, 81 Chevy Pickup and the wifes car.. and still have 10acres left
Thanks everyone, keep the opinions coming

I had one as a rental in fall 2009 (for a month) and my grandparents bought a 2013 (same body style)
"Dome light" doesnt exist. There are two "map lights" under the review mirror.
Driving in the rain is crazy loud. Sounds like no splash shields or fender liners. Every puddle you splash through sounds like it's gonna come through the floor boards.
I think I averaged 23-24 mixed driving and beating on it because I hated it.
Overall the car is sub par and lack luster. Pretty typical GM product

I had a 2010 LTZ, nice enough car, will be a step up from a Cav. The things I didn't like about the car were shadowed by the 31-33 mpg highway. I say go for it if it is in good shape. We had our biggest issue with the tire monitor system, had it in the shop about every six months doing something to that system and the never did figure it out so I traded it off.

Does it have some giddy up or is it a turd when driving in town?
