Serious Speed Problems!!

I've been very busy this past summer, so I have only been on this forum a couple of times. I'm not sure when the forum changed, but ever since then it's been snail slow!!! It's been so bad, I thought the computer was locked-up, not just downloading. And the worst part is I have a high-speed cable modem, I should be flying through these posts like I used to!! Am I doing something wrong? It doesn't seem to matter if I login or not, it takes forever!! I know I have missed a bunch this summer, but I just didn't have the time to wait for the forum to come up. Any suggestions, or is this just the way it is now??!!

Anteater,

If you are using Netscrape then that's part of the problem.

Cool

HI!... When STEVE changed the forum set-up, I was running NETSCAPE 4.7. I was having the same "SLOW problems. I switched to NETSCAPE 6.0 and now it flies again.

Hey NEAL!!

Yeah, Netscrape V4.7 is about as slow as your F150!

I tried Netscrape V6.01 and it was a friggin' abortion, deleted it and went back to Netscape V4.77. Very stable, a little slow to load (like your truck but a very stable Browser. Netscape V6.1 is alleged to be better but 6.01 really scared me off..............

Still runnin' those "Canadian" time slips?

Hey Guys try the Netscape 6.1 its very stable and works extremely well with this site. I'm still using a dialup and 6.1 is the best browser I've used yet as far as speed.

Again I have been swamped, I just finally was able to check out my post on speed problems! I do have netscape 4.7, I tried 6.0 once, I wasn't real wild about it. But I also have Internet Explorer 5something or other. I don't really care for it, but I tried it and "Bam", the posts are zipping along! I'll just do everything else on Netscape, and use Explorer for here!
