The first guy said "ouch, $40.00 plus to fill up" the next guy said "You have it easy I paid $65.00 canadian to fill up" as if thats more. I deal with U.S. to cnd conversions all day long and vice versa. $65cnd will be $40.95us by fridays rates, so gas is about exactly the same. Americans should be pissed if anything. It is usually a hell of a lot cheaper anywhere in the U.S. than Canada.

Also, a U.S. gallon is 3.78lt, a Canadian gallon is 4.5 lt. .80cents cnd per liter is equal to $1.90u.s. per u.s. gallon. But the norm I saw in Canada was about .72 cents cnd a liter which is equal to $1.71u.s. per u.s. gallon. Today I paid $1.68 a gallon, so gas is almost exactly the same price.

$38.00 to fill up

Gas prices here in northeast WI are $1.82 for 87. that hurts when I have to fill up once a week. 25mi one way to work. Might be time to look for an economical beater to use as a commuter.

I've got an 88 Tempo with 275000 miles and it still runs good. I usually drive it all winter. I considered driving it when gas was (and is now again) HIGH!! But could never actually do it.

Cool

Not to beat a dead horse, or anything, but - I filled up yesterday
at a cost of $69.00 Cdn. (78.9 liter) - abt $46 US @ 1.50 exch rate. - Thats for 87.
Around here you cannot get 93, only 91, or 92 and it's much higher in price. -
The point I was trying to make in my first post is that you, in the USA can get Premium 93 - for somewhere in the area that we pay for Regular. - So your fuel is still cheaper.

We'll trade you some clean water & power - for gas !!

Wow all of these complaints about gas prices . It kinda makes me want to move by an airport and complain about the noise . Maybe I should sell my truck and buy a Toyota Echo . I am starting to get an urge for Tofu and a decaffeinated Cafe Latte zzzzzz.......

Huh ???!! Whew ... I was just having a nightmare . Never will I sell my truck , although , that latte is looking kinda good .

I guess gas is cheap in Texas... It's about 1.19 for 87, 1.27 for 89 and 1.35 for 93. And it's atleast ten to twenty cents cheaper down by Austin/Houston.

I had a nightmare last night that I had to fill my truck up from the point where the 'low fuel' light came on, plus about 20 kilometers. :P

It's 77.9 per liter here in Calgary, which, unless I mix up my calculations, is $1.90 a gallon in US funds. Oh, for regular, btw.
