I figured when i made this thread there would be alot of the 97-03 f150's. Guess it shows just how good these years can be.

il_duce -- did you install the supercharger yourself, or did you have a shop do it? I've been toying with the idea of doing the same to my '05 with the 5.4.....

I actually saw the old girl in a grocery store parking lot a few weeks back. I couldn't help myself, so I turned in and took a closer look at it. It's got some skinny General tires on it now and some god awful cherry red & black Ed Hardy seat covers, complete with little cherry ornament things hanging from the rear view mirror. To each their own, I suppose. At least it's still running strong.

They were in pretty good shape, but got in sort of a road rage event with a Blonde in a Dodge Ram.. She didnt yeild to me and i got in front of her and started to turn right and she started laying on the horn like i was at fault.

So she got brake checked and then she decided to follow me, so i pulled up to the shop (had all 4 windows down) and there were some heated words and then she threw a 32oz cup of Dr Pepper at me but missed me and went in the truck and exploded everywhere. She then took off so i chased her *** with me on the phone with the cops.. They finally caught up to us about 5 miles later. Wrote her a ticket for criminal mischeif.

I then went to the JP to file a lawsuit for damages (the drink stained the seats) Ended up getting almost 1200 dollars from her. So used that money to get the seats done.
Well whatever dye made them look that darn good did one hell of a job!

Granted I wasn't there, but to be honest, I don't agree with suing someone, especially for that much, over a drink on the seats. I'd have been more than satisfied with her getting the ticket.

I still miss my 2005. Had it set up just the way I wanted. Tint, exhaust, Gryphon tunes, lowered 2 inches in the rear, Bilstiens, Roush wheels with 305/50/20s. 135,000 on Black Rose when I sold her. The 2011 is a nice truck. I like the extra room and love the 5.0 and transmission, the Sync. Just never cared for the 2009 up body as much. Also, don't like the metallic black as much as the pure black paint. Just never had any desire to mod it. First truck I have ever owned that I did not put an exhaust on.

I did it myself with help from my dad. Ok, my dad did it with help from me

Honestly, I had no idea what I was doing. He's worked on cars/trucks his entire life, but had never installed a supercharger. It took about 6-8 hours in his garage. We then had to ship the PCM off to Roush to get flashed for the supercharger. I think that was about a 5-7 day turnaround. But man...that thing would MOVE.

If someone causes damage to my truck, you damn right they are going to pay to fix it. I dont care if it was 50 dollars or 5000 dollars. When i pay for a vehicle with my hard earned money ill be damn if someone screws it up on purpose and i let them slide.

Remember we are talking KR leather which is not even close to other leather seats.

I can't fathom selling my truck. If I saw another teenager put it in the mud like I have I believe a brawl would ensue

i can honestly say i have enjoyed all my cars. but I get a new one every 5 or 6 years and everyone has been better. sometimes the past is left better in the past.

i still have my 97 l/d f250 and no way it compares to my 2012.
