OBDII bluetooth device that works with iPhone/iPad???
OBDII bluetooth device that works with iPhone/iPad???
Looking for a plug-in device (plugs into OBD port on truck) and sends data to iPhone/iPad. There are hundreds on Amazon/eBay, but hard to tell which works with our trucks. If you were successful getting one to work, what app(s) have your tried using? Looking for an app that can be set up like a gauge cluster.
Don't want to spend BIG $$$ on the hardware device and prefer bluetooth connection, although wifi might be OK.
Thanks,
Jim

Hi.
Show a modicum of patience, please. Folks have lives, and yer getting free advice. Plus, I type slow. Thankee.
Either jailbreak yer device to allow unsigned drivers, or find a WiFi adapter, reckon.

Note that, a lots of cheaper adapters don't work well, or at all. So be aware.
For the apps that are available for IOS, what adapter do they recommend ( similar to the info above supplied in the Torque Pro app's description )?
Lots more info on the Web - didje lookee while you were a-waitin'?

Note that some folks have simply abandoned Apple and their (draconian if technically sound) practices, and acquired an inexpensive Android device, a decent BT adapter ( may need to try a couple 'till you find one that works ), loaded up Torque Pro and moved on.
Good luck
