Post Keep your lane!!!

As of yesterday Dutch Police will write you a $75 ticket if you stay too long on the fastest lane without reason.Thereby obstructing the faster traffic.
Advised is to move over to the slower lanes on the right.
Average a year: 23 deaths,1713 casualties and 10,000 cars damaged.

For a long time tailgating has been the #1 violation.

Oh man, you don't know how many times I wish we had something like that here. Maybe we do? I don't really know. If we did, I wish they would enforce it. So many times, you find all lanes going the same speed or the cars in the slower lanes are going faster than the fast lane!

Dennis: AMEN!

Here in Toronto, every once in a while they go on a "blitz" as they call it, and go after people doing different things. A while ago, they went after people in the fast lane who don't move. They nailed so many people it was ridiclulous. I can't tell you how raged I get when all I want to do is pass granny sticking to just below the limit and some *!~@#%**ing person has decided that they have the right to drive the limit in the fast lane. Oh, they do have the right according to the law....but...ah...nevermind, you've all been there.

What ever happened to grill mounted machine guns? I swear that I could have used one today! Heck, after this mornings commute I'm sure I'd need more ammo! A agree though, sounds like a great law!

I know in some states that the left lane(s) are for passing only. Never heard of anybody getting pulled over for staying in the left lane though.

Something like that happened to me today, somebody staying in the passing lane going down the thruway content on doing that casual 60 when everybody else is 70-75+

In California there's a law that states you must over if you are in the #1 lane (far left) and the person behind you indicates they want to pass by flashing their lights. Apparently very few people know about this law and those who do mostly ignore it.

Now, I try not to make bigoted remarks but I've noticed that most Asian drivers (recent immigrants) go to asian run driving schools. I've come to the conclusion that the instructors tell them to keep their eyes glued to the road in front of them and don't look in the mirror. They seem to be obsessed with looking straight ahead and NEVER look in the mirror regardless of blaring horns or flashing lights.

It's a little tough to miss a pair of flashing 150 watt KC's More than a flash-to-pass, it's more like a supernova-to-pass

Seriously, thoug, I know it's totally frustrating, and I think I'm in the majority here, when I just wish I didn't like my vehicles so much that I have to resist the urge to slide up behind them and nudge them out of the way like in a Nascar race.

I know here in MI, the slow traffic keep right laws apply to all roads, except for multi-lane interstate highways(?!?! ) The one place they should be most applicable IMHO!? Friggin' Michigan DOT's got it's collective head stuck so far in it's pot-hole it can't see daylight!
