We saw this in Oakville!

Last week a bunch of us toured the Oakville, ON truck plant & saw this & the XTR! We weren't sure if these were new models or Canadian models. They had just started to switch to the 2002 models that very day! Thanks for sharing this with us - now we know for sure!

They look a little too much like the wheels chevrolet was using a few years back, on the blazers I think it was, for me.

They don't look "Ford"

Cool Oakville Truck Plant Tour

SabinasHgo, the XTR that Cowlady is taking about is just another package that Ford is coming out with. There was a few trucks at the plant that day that had the FX4 & XTR packages on them but we couldn't get close enough to see the differences. I am sure that they will be out shortly but it all depends upon where they show up. For example the FX4 package, might be only for American bound trucks where the XTR package is for Canadian bound trucks.

Unhappy

No thanks. And WTF is fx4? The reason for it being called 4x4 is because it is FOUR WHEEL DRIVE. Not no FX4 *****. ARGH. I think I will eventually have a horse and buggy.

I was thinking "Blazer" too... I do like the fact that they're getting away from those darn annoying center caps everyone likes to steal, but I don't like the liik of the new ones.... too square for a nice rounded truck IMHO.

Cool

Easy King James The FX4 & XTR packages are probably going to be on the 4x2 trucks only. Similar to the sport package type thing. I am sure that there will always be a 4x4 sticker on the back part of the box for you guys. I know the XTR package, I have seen on Canadian 4x2 trucks, this is not a foreign package here. The FX4 package would just be a little different depending upon what options Ford puts into the package. The Sport package, you different things then the XTR and the FX4. That is what is going on with these different packages.

My paint scheme.

See the dark charcoal lower?
That's a new option on the F-150. I got the idea almost a year ago from the Expy XLT Sports.
Maybe they saw my truck...
