Anyone here from Huston,Texas?
Who says there is not a lot to do in Houston:
• Indoor go-carts are popping up all over
• Kemah Boardwalk and restaurants
• Pleasure Pier in Galveston
• The Strand in Galveston
• Woodlands Mall has a neat outdoor eating/shopping/walking area with a boat ride
• Space Center Houston
• USS Texas and the Monument, and The Monument Inn right down the street has GREAT seafood
• The Astros could be playing a home game, the team might not be great, but the stadium is cool
Good luck and have fun in TEXAS!!!!

The Woodlands is congested as hell right now and they are doing construction on grogans mill road so that is a cluster right now.
If youre gonna go shopping, might as well go to houston premium outlets on hwy 290 or go to the katy mills mall if you want to save some mulah...

Unfortunately, the Woodlands is on the other side of the city. I'll have to look up The Strand, haven't heard of that yet.
The Strand is an area in Galveston, I think they call it the 'Art District" It is near the docks where the cruise ships come in/out. It is also one of the areas Madri Gras is held. Nice area to walk around if the weather is right. Places to shop/eat. On weekends, they'll have street vendors and artist.
houston premium outlets = 22 min drive
katy mills mall = 3 minutes...And there is a Bass Pro in that mall.....who said ya cant have a cake and eat it too......
Thats a lot of good tips from you all, more then I'll have time for. Just have to figure out whats priority with the other 3, and how much time we'll have. I myself will push for NASA and battleship Texas. Since we have only one day free of the four days we're there.
Thanks everybody!

Do they not have Bass Pros wherever you're from Setchen? I think I may be the only one that doesn't understand the allure . . . maybe I'm just spoiled and used to them?
Houston has got to be the most boring big city in America! There is simply no "signature" feature or tourist attraction to be had, unless you're a space geek and want to head down to NASA. Otherwise, it's pretty much strip malls and stifling heat 9 months out of the year......
