Unhappy ignition actuator

i need help my ignition linkage is broke between the switch and the key. i removed the dash and found the break is probably the actuator in the column. it looks like a real science project to tear down. has any one have any exerience on an f15o with tiltwheel? do i have to tear the tilt wheel system off ? if so are there any special tools i need? any help would be appreciated

well i have no idea what year your truck is, but my friend and i had to replace the actuator in my truck about 2 months ago. we did need a special tool to remove part of the steering column (i have no idea what its called) in order to get the new actuator in, but my truck doesnt have tilt wheel. basically we just took the steering wheel off and started removing parts until we had easy access to the actuator and ignition rod. its not a fun job, if you can get someone to help you then do it. remember to keep track of how it all goes back together, because there was a lot of little screws in my column, so im sure yours will be similar. good luck!
