Computer guys, advice needed
Computer guys, advice needed
My father wanted an extra PC for his house and asked me to build him one.
I looked through all my extra old parts laying around and was able to piece together a working system for him.
After two weeks he decided he didn't want or need it anymore so he gave it back to me. All of the parts are older and I have no use for them in my current builds, so I'm going to sell this. I have never sold my PC's, just gave them to family members and friends after a new build.
I have no idea what to ask for this setup and that's what I need help with. What should I ask for this setup on craigslist? I know it probably isn't worth much.

Thanks for your response glc $200 sounds good I was going to list it all for $150.
I'll probably part it out though like you said. Where do you think would be the best place to do that? craigslist, eBay, computer forums?

Computer forums or eBay would be best for parting it out, I agree with glc, you'd definitely get more parting it. The monitor maybe throw on Craigslist so you don't have to deal with shipping though. But the monitor, video card, power supply, and case alone would put you over 200 most likely.
Or bundle it, throw it on eBay, call it an intro gaming rig, and you'd probably see around 250-350, maybe more.

Power supplies don't get outdated to easily, the video card is the last gen, but it's still top of the line last gen, cases don't change to much and the 900 is still pretty popular, monitors can get outdated due to resolution, but there's still a market for them in non-gaming applications.
Mobo/CPU/ram combo is worth 100 bucks.
PSU and video card are each worth 50 bucks.
Case is going to be a pain if you have to ship it, but it's worth 50 bucks.
Hard drive and opticals are essentially worthless.
