I was also considering a new 5.0 GT next summer for a DD but now I'm thinking 2011 Crown Vic because the 4.6 2v is so bullet proof I can do the maintence onit myself and keep learning. Plus the aftermarket has some sweet upgrades for the suspension to really make them handle awesome. I'm to the point where I want to do it myself because I can read and follow the directions. The impact will make life easier to remove the stuff that's tricky and tighten down the front shocks if I need to again. I did pickup the HF Torque wrench yesterdya, on the hunt for a 36MM deep well socket now.

GLC, they only go up to 250 ft/lbs

I just bought a 99 crown vic and absolutely love it. Bought it off an old couple who never really drove it much. Had 85k on it. Got it for 3 grand and its nearly pristine only a few nicks. Actually gets decent gas mileage (not excellent but 25 on the freeway) Ford never should have stopped production of them. Modernized is all it needed. The 15 year old platform was still selling pretty well right up to the end. Now I understand why. Excellent value!

Impact was awesome! removed shocks and hunb with ease and torqued them well! Harbor freight Torque wrench was great and included the calibration sheet. I'm really happy with everything so far, money well spent.

Good to hear jethat! I'm going to mod it like a Marauder if I get one and doll it up but I want reliability in the engine
