Pulling a Credit Report
Pulling a Credit Report
So in another month or so after the dust has settled from my short-sale, I want to pull a credit report on myself and the wife to ensure things panned out as they were supposed to. I've had credit checks done and have kept track of my stuff, but have never pulled one myslef on a random occasion like this.
What's the best, most accurate way to go about it? Where do I go? Do the three agencies have access straight from their websites to accomplish this? Any generic tips?
Thanks guys.

The three agencies have access from their sites. It really can't be much easier, than going the sites and asking for one. It might cost money to get the full report including score, but it shouldn't be more than $20 each.
Start with the free government mandated ones. You can pull them from each bureau up to once per 12 month period free. Back when I was in a position where it mattered, I'd check one of them every four months. The seemed to roughly correlate to each other in my case.
You must go through the government-sponsored gateway for them to be free. www.annualcreditreport.com These are stripped-down versions of the full reports generally without the "score", but you always have the option of purchasing the full reports. Experian, for example, will upgrade you for $7.95.
Do not get suckered into any of the "free" ones with stupid TV commercials unless you want to get signed up for an expensive credit monitoring service that you'd then have to cancel.
