Last night I was at the gas station and I noticed a guy pull up in an f-150. It had paper plates on it so I decided to walk over and b.s. with the gent. He said he had just bought it from a local dealer, it was a 98, or 99. My 97 has the door crack problem and I felt compelled to tell him about the problem. Then I walked over to his drivers door to show him where to look for the crack, well guess what he already had one, and the dealer had used touch up paint to hide it. I told him to take it back to the dealer and make them fix it under warranty. I just thought I would share that little story, I think I made the guy upset but If he takes my advice he can have them fix it.

 

Last weekend I brought my '98 to my local Ford dealer for an oil change. 10 of 12 used F-150's on the lot had at least one door crack. I was approached by a sales guy and he said that he knew of the problem, yet he NEVER discloses this problem to a prospective customer. How sleazy! What else do they conceal?
