Our governments spend more time protecting us from ourselves and dismiss the real and present threats.

We can no longer rely on someone else to protect us. We've got to pay more attention. We've got to be prepared to avoid or eliminate these kinds of threats.

My heart felt condolences to the family, friends and fellow service members of the victim and to those traumatized by witnessing this savagery.

This was, as are most occurrences like this, completely unnecessary and likely avoidable.

 

At least PM Cameron is indicating this was a terrorist attack.

What is INFURIATING is that our government refuses to do the same for Major Hassan, the Fort Hood shooter.

Hassan killed 13 and wounded 32.

Because he is not a 'terrorist', Hassan is getting paid is full salary ($278,000 so far since the 2009 shooting).

Because they were victims of 'work place violence' and not terrorist attack, his victims are not eligible for the compensation and benefits that they would receive if they were serving in a war zone. The victims are having to fight the government in an attempt to get combat pay, so they can afford their medical bills.

Because there is evil in this world that prey's on the good and tries to rule with fear. It's a shame the officer's didn't send those two on a one way trip to hell when they had the chance.
