Sure, if your hood seal is leaking. Why DIDN'T you use OEM?

Parts stores have Motorcraft plugs. That's more important than OEM coils.

 

Wrap a paper towel around the heater hoses at the connection by the fire wall and secure it with some twist ties. Drive it and check the paper towels for being wet. Some times the hoses leak there and can fill the back plug well with water. It is usually a very small leak so without the paper towel you may not be able to find it.

But glc is right about checking the hood seal too.

its a good thing that the plug was motorcraft platinum. the coil was duralast
