Problem is they can READ a calender, when they are in season they hide! I know for a fact that Quail can do that.

Nice pics. I'm glad we don't have elk or moose here in GA because I would hate to hit one in a vehicle.

There's an Elk farm about 2 miles from my dads house. Early in the morning you can hear them making noise. The first time I heard them I thought some kids parents made him go outside at 4AM to practice playing his flute

Every year on the coast, herds come together to form giant herds. Sometimes thousands and they come down into protected land about 2-4 weeks before season. A week after, they start going back. And almost every year someone gets caught shooting a bull from that herd.
