Toyota's New Pickup

Here's an article on Toyota's new model pickup.

They only sell 1/6th the volume of the F-150.

It looks like a botched abortion of a Dodge!

How can they name the top model a Platinum? I smell a lawsuit coming. We all know they copy/rip off the big three but stealing the same name!? That's just too much...

I cant imagine why an American would buy a full size Japanese truck. There are quality made US trucks in any configuration a person could want. Not like the car market where the was a serious quality issue back 20 years ago that gave foreign manufactures a foot hold. Now I wouldn't buy even a foreign made car. I know it really doesn't mater in the overall scheme of things. I do like supporting the home made producers as much as possible though.. Kinda bent me seeing the Toyota commercial where it was pulling a shuttle.. Sell out..

That's a compliment to simply call 'em "ugly".

Says it's basically the same underprongings as before, in the article. So I guess you'll have to stay away from those chatter bumps and washboard roads. Since the back half of the truck will over flex, fatigue and bend all out of wack.

Or you'll have to do what they did. - Hook it up to a space shuttle to get it half way straight again.
