Ford ???? Lobo ??????
This afternoon, driving in Orange County area of So Calif, ( in my F150) I was behind another one. On the tailgate where our trucks show a F-150 name, this truck showed " LOBO " in black. And on the front fenders it also stated " LOBO " ! The truck had plates from MEXICO, so I guess down there they drive "LOBOS". Did anybody else know this?? Were're driving LOBOS!!!
Yeah, the F-150's sold in Mexico are all tagged LOBO instead of F-150 like we are used to. My spanish is a little rusty but I think that means 'wolf'.
I have only seen 2 LOBO's in Colorado, both with Mexico licence plates.

I was on job, and went out to my truck... and this black beauty caught my eye.
What the hell is a LOBO, I thought?
After taking some pics, the owner came out.
Yup, Lobo means "Wolf"
His ride did Not come from Mexico. He asked a friend to purchase the emblems and send them over here.

I dont believe there is much if any difference between mixican and USA ford trucks. Probably since most of the stuff on you ford was made and asymbled in mexico. Its just a marketing thing, the same reason the f150 is called ranger in parts of europe.

Sometimes they throw some kickers in there though, you can buy quite a number of vehicles in Mexico you can't here...
I remember seeing a F150 a few years ago, probably about a 94 or 95 that had a 3.8L V6 in it...
