Ford pulls big rig on Gold Rush

The second episode of the new Gold Rush season aired last night on Discovery. They were hauling their equipment up a muddy hill and the big rigs couldn't climb it. They even put chains on the tires. Dave hooked his Superduty 7.3 Powerstroke to the front of a rig and pulled it up the hill. It was a really cool pull and added to an already great show.

I love that show but I don't buy it. If that tractor trailer with all that weight is stuck in the mud it's gonna take a lot more than a pickup to pull it out. I both were in the slop, I don't see it happening, but good editing for the show though.

Haven't seen the video, but its probably helped it up, not truely pulled the dead weight on its own.

I've seen an 18wheeler get stuck on dry pavement on a sloped driveway with no load

Yes, it is a 7.3L truck.

I hate how they don't always get the right truck with a drive by shot of something different on that show all the time.

Suprised Toyota hasn't tried to get in on these kind of TV shows yet.

A couple from IRT.
